India’s TCIL reports 97 percent fall in net profit in Q1 FY 2023-24

Indian tinplate producer Tinplate Company India Limited (TCIL), a subsidiary of Tata Steel Limited, has reported a net profit of INR 26.20 million ($0.32 million) in the first quarter (April-June) of the fiscal year 2023-24, down 96.91 percent year on year, a company regulatory filing said on Tuesday, July 18.

The total income of the company was reported at INR 9.312 million ($113.43 million), a decline of nine percent year on year.

India’s Tata Steel Limited holds 74.96 percent equity in TCIL.
