In November 2011, Japan's seasonally adjusted industrial production decreased 2.7 percent from the previous month, after two consecutive months of month-on-month increase, while it showed a decrease of 4.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
Meanwhile, in November the country's iron and steel production decreased by 1.2 percent as compared to October, while producers' iron and steel shipments were down by six percent and iron and steel inventories were down by 0.7 percent, all compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, on year-on-year basis, the country's iron and steel production in November witnessed a decrease of 2.4 percent.
In November, seasonally adjusted crude steel production in Japan decreased by 4.2 percent compared to the previous month and was down by 3.3 percent on year-on-year basis. Producers' crude steel shipments in November were down by 9.9 percent compared to October and down by 15.6 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
