Japan’s Marubeni-Itochu Steel acquires minority stake in Spain’s Network Steel Resources

Japan-based Marubeni-Itochu Steel (MISI) has announced that it has signed an agreement with Spain-based steel company Network Steel Resources (NSR) to acquire a minority stake in the latter’s capital.

Through this investment, MISI aims to expand its business presence in Europe, where stable economic growth is expected, and to contribute to the enhancement of NSR’s corporate value.

NSR has seven production plants and an annual sales volume of over one million mt.
