Spain’s Acerinox completes sale of Malaysian subsidiary Bahru Stainless

Spanish stainless steel producer Acerinox S.A. has announced that it has completed the sale of its Malaysia-based subsidiary Bahru Stainless Sdn. Bhd. to local steelmaker Worldwide Stainless Sdn. Bhd. for $95 million.

In October this year, Acerinox had signed the agreement for the sale of its subsidiary, as SteelOrbis previously reported.

Bahru Stainless Sdn. Bhd. produced 77,181 mt of cold rolled stainless products in 2023.
