JFE Steel to supply steel products for Trans Adriatic Pipeline project

Japanese steelmaker JFE Steel Corporation has announced that it will supply 78,000 mt of steel products, including hot rolled coil (HRC), plate and UOE line pipes, to the unincorporated consortium of Greek pipe manufacturer Corinth Pipeworks Pipe Industry S.A. (CPW) and Japanese steelmaker Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc. (MISI), which won a contract to supply steel materials to the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project in Europe. JFE Steel will serve as one of the project’s major subcontractors.
 
The products will be manufactured at JFE Steel’s Fukuyama District and Keihin District facilities in Japan. The hot rolled coils and plates will be shipped by the end of this year via MISI to CPW, which will process them into pipes.
