Malaysia's Ministry of International Trade and Industry has announced that it has decided to impose definitive antidumping (AD) duty on imports of cold rolled (CR) stainless steel in coils, sheets or any other forms from China, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand for a period of five years from February 8, 2018 to February 7, 2023.
The definitive duty rates range between 2.68 percent and 111.61 percent for the four countries. The ministry excluded South Korea-based Hyundai BNG Steel Co., Ltd and Hyundai Steel Company and Taiwan-based Chia Far Industries Factory Co., Ltd and Yieh United Steel Corporation from the antidumping duties, stating that there is no dumping margin with regard to the mentioned imports from these companies.
The products subject to final antidumping (AD) duty currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7219.31.00 00, 7219.32.00 00, 7219.33.00 00, 7219.34.00 00, 7219.35.00 00, 7220.20.10 00 and 7220.20.90 00.
