The Ukrainian mining and steel producing company Metinvest Holding (Metinvest) has announced that its iron ore subsidiary Central Iron Ore Enrichment Works (CGOK) has started the capital repair of its OK-324 indurating machine. The total investment volume for the project is UAH 8 million (about $1 million).

CGOK's ОК-324 indurating machine is a complex equipment system producing pellets with high iron content. Its annual capacity exceeds two million mt of pellets.

Approximately 120 cubic meters of refractories will be replaced during the overhaul as well as the exhauster's rotors, the rollers of the roller stacker, and side coolers. These steps will support a scheduled operational mode of the indurating machine during the overhaul period, ensuring uninterrupted production of high-quality pellets.

The overhaul is planned to be completed within three weeks.
