Mexican economic activity declines in July

Mexican economic activity in July declined 0.6 percent, year-on-year, and 0.1 percent, month-on-month, local statistics agency, Inegi, said late this week.

According to government data, primary and tertiary activities in July improved 4.1 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, both on a year-on-year basis. Secondary activities in July dropped 2.8 percent, year-on-year.

Inegi said primary activities in July increased 3.5 percent, month-on-month. On the other hand, secondary and tertiary activities in July fell 0.4 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively, month-on-month.
