Mexican economic activity increases 1.9 percent in May

Mexican economic activity in May rose 1.9 percent, year-on-year, and 1 percent, month-on-month, the nation’s statistics agency, Inegi, said on Tuesday.

Government data indicate primary activities in May diminished 3.5 percent, year-on-year, and 3.1 percent, month-on-month.

Secondary activities in the fifth month of the year improved 0.4 percent, year-on-year, and 0.3 percent, month-on-month.

Tertiary activities in the same period increased 3 percent, year-on-year, and 1.2 percent, month-on-month.
