Mexico’s economy, secretariat, SE, has extended the deadline of existing countervailing duties on imports of concrete steel nails from China, it said on Tuesday, following a request from local producer Deacero.
According to the decision, which was published at the nation’s official gazette, DOF, the duties will be extended for five more years, from November 30, 2014.
SE said the previous $0.50/kg aliquot for the imports of the product will be kept until the duties last.
