MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.8 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (February 29-March 6) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.8 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of common medium plate, hot rolled sheet, rebar and high-speed wire rod in China moved up by 2.0 percent, 1.6 percent, 0.9 percent and 0.9 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 1.0 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) rose by 1.9 percent compared to the previous week.

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China declined by 0.2 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of anthracite coal, coking coal and thermal coal decreased by 0.3 percent, 0.2 percent and 0.2 percent week on week, respectively.
