MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 1.1 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (August 8-14) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 1.1 percent week on week.
 
In the given week, average prices of channels, hot rolled strip and rebar in China rose by 1.3 percent, 1.3 percent and 1.2 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 0.2 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) decreased by 0.3 percent compared to the previous week.

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China rose by 0.2 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of anthracite coal and thermal coal remained stable week on week, while the average price of coking coal increased by 0.2 percent week on week.
