MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 1.8 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (October 17-23) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 1.8 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, cold rolled sheet and rebar in China rose by 2.2 percent, 2.2 percent and 2.1 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 0.5 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) declined by 1.1 percent compared to the previous week.

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China increased by one percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of coking coal, thermal coal and anthracite coal moved up by 1.4 percent, 1.0 percent and 0.9 percent week on week, respectively.
