On November 5, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (Oct. 28-Nov. 3) the overall average finished steel price in China remained stable week on week.
In the given week, average prices of 12 mm diameter rebar and 6.5 mm diameter high-speed wire rod were up 0.3 percent and 0.1 percent respectively, while the average prices of 3 mm common hot rolled sheet and 10 mm common medium plate decreased by 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent respectively, all week on week.
In the week ending November 3, prices of minerals in China remained almost stable compared to the previous week. In particular, the average prices of copper ore and zinc ore were up 0.7 percent and 0.1 percent week on week, respectively. Meanwhile, the average price of iron ore was unchanged. However, the average price of molybdenum and lead ore were down 0.7 percent and 0.4 percent week on week.
In addition, average prices of energy in China were up 0.3 percent week on week. The average price of raw coal was up by 1.2 percent, the average price of coke was unchanged, while the average price of crude oil was down by 0.3 percent, all week on week.
