MOC: Average steel prices in China increase during March 13-19

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during the March 13-19 period this year the overall average finished steel price in China increased.

In the given period, the average prices of common steel plate, hot rolled steel strip and steel channel increased by 1.0 percent, 0.8 percent and 0.7 percent, week on week, respectively.    

In the same period, the average prices of smoke-free lump coal and thermal coal edged down by 0.7 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively, though the average price of coking coal rose by 0.2 percent, all week on week.
