Moldavian Steel Works produces 34,593 mt of crude steel in May

In May this year, Moldavian Metallurgical Works (MMZ), a steelmaker based in the Transnistrian region of Moldova, produced 34,593 mt of crude steel and 25,043 mt of rolled products, including 9,000 mt of reinforcing bars and 16,043 mt of wire rod. Shipments in May totaled 30,563 mt of rolled steel products.
 
MMZ expects to produce 37,000 mt of rolled steel products in June this year, to be consumed in the EU, Moldova and Ukraine.
