New car registrations in EU up 17.6 percent in January-July

In July this year, new passenger car registrations in the EU rose by 15.2 percent year on year to 851,156 units, according to the European association of car manufacturers ACEA.

In the given month, all major countries, including France (+19.9%), Germany (+18.1%), Spain (+10.7%) and Italy (+8.7%), reported positive results.

In the first seven months of the year, new car registrations grew by 17.6 percent year on year to 6,290,849 units. Spain saw the sharpest rise with an increase of 21.9 percent, followed by Italy (+20.9%), France (+15.8%) and Germany (+13.6%), year on year.
