NMZK raises steel output by 4.37 percent in September

Novosibirsk Metallurgical Works named after Kuzmin (NMZK), a subsidiary of the Russian steel producer ESTAR Holding (ESTAR), currently under the control of Russia's largest metal trader Metallservis Group (Metallservis), has announced that in September this year it produced 16,114 mt of steel products - up 4.37 percent year on year.

Specifically, during the period in question, NMZK produced 14,813 mt of electric welded pipes, pipes for water and gas supply and shaped pipes - up 43 percent year on year, 1,291 mt of rolled steel products - down 73.7 percent year on year, and 10 mt of cold rolled steel band - down 90.4 percent year on year.

During the previous month, NMZK was fully supplied with the required slabs from Evraz's West-Siberian Steel Works (ZapSib) and Metalloinvest's Ural Steel.

In October this year, NMZK plans continue to increase its output, up to 17,760 mt of steel products - an increase of 10.2 percent month on month, including 15,322 mt of pipe products, 2,374 mt of rolled products, and 64 mt of hardware products.
