Outotec’s order intake up 20 percent in 2017

Finnish mining and metal manufacturing equipment provider Outotec has issued its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year of 2017.

For the fourth quarter, Outotec reported an operating profit of €14 million, compared to an operating loss of €53.5 million in the same quarter of the previous year. The company's sales revenues increased by eight percent year on year at €328.9 million. Meanwhile, Outotec's order intake was €365.8 million in the given quarter, up 29 percent year on year.

In 2017, Outotec achieved an operating profit of €24.6 million, compared to an operating loss of €67.7 million in the previous year, while the company's sales revenues rose by eight percent year on year to €1.14 billion. Meanwhile, Outotec's order intake was €1.00 billion in the given year, rising by 20 percent year on year.

For 2018, the company expects net sales of approximately €1.2-1.3 billion.
