Outotec’s sales revenues up 7.6 percent in January-September

Finnish mining and metal manufacturing equipment provider Outotec has issued its financial results for the third quarter and the first nine months of the current year.

In the third quarter, Outotec reported a net profit of €6.1 million, compared to a net loss of €2.9 million in the same quarter of the previous year. The company's sales revenues increased by 10 percent year on year to €270.4 million. Meanwhile, Outotec's order intake was €234.2 million in the given quarter, down 14.5 percent year on year.

In the first nine months, Outotec reported a net profit of €2 million, compared to a net loss of €16.9 million in the same period of the previous year. The company's sales revenues rose by 7.6 percent to €810.3 million, while its order intake was €838.8 million in the given period, up 16 percent, both year on year.

Based on the current order backlog and market outlook as well as further cost savings, for the whole year the company expects its sales revenues to be approximately in the range of €1.1 billion to €1.2 billion.
