The Polish Ministry of Treasury has announced that it has extended an invitation to all interested parties to participate in negotiations for the purchase of its 25.5 percent stake in Polish steel plate and sections producer Huta Pokoj S.A., located in the city of Ruda Slaska. Bids can be filed by April 4, 2011.

Last year, two auctions for the purchase of the 25.5 percent stake in Huta Pokoj were cancelled as no submissions of interest were received.

Huta Pokуj was founded in 1840, and is specialized in the production of cold formed steel sections and tubes, hot rolled steel plates, hot rolled steel sections, welded sections and steel structures. The plants sell 79 percent of its products in the domestic market, while the remaining 21 percent are sold in the markets of European Union countries.
