South Korean steelmaker POSCO has announced that it has completed its new hot rolling plant No. 4 in Gwangyang, South Korea.

POSCO is scheduled to supply most of the 3.3 million mt per year produced at the hot rolling steel plant No. 4 to global automobile companies as customized products delivered to automotive steel production corporations overseas. It is expected that the products for sale in South Korea will be very limited.

POSCO started the construction of the hot rolling mill in question in September 2011, predicting that its hot rolled coil production capacity would increase from 23.54 million mt to 26.84 million mt per year.
