According to a statement by the Italian minister of business and made in Italy Adolfo Urso, the procedures for allocation the plants of Italian steelmaker Acciaierie d’Italia should start by the end of the current month of July.

Some major players in the steel industry had already shown some interest in the acquisition of the plants in question, which they have visited and inspected.

“The restoration plan is succeeding,” said minister Urso. “This autumn we will already have two fully functioning blast furnaces in Taranto, and a third one by next year. In 2025, we will be able to produce up to six million mt of steel,” he added.
