Argentina produced 53,701 units (cars and light commercial vehicles) in November, which was 2.4 percent more than October, according to the sector association, ADEFA.
Exports declined by 10.3 percent to 32,262 units and domestic sales declined by 8.0 percent to 40,118 units.
On an annual basis, between November 2024 and November 2023, production declined by 5.1 percent, exports increased by 6.1 percent, and domestic sales increased by 35.0 percent.
When comparing the first eleven months of 2024 and 2023, production declined by 18.3 percent to 468,553 units, exports declined by 5.3 percent to 288,068 units, and domestic sales declined by 5.2 percent to 361,944 units.
ADEFA’s president, Martin Zuppi, mentioned that November 2024 was the year’s best month in terms of production, with a positive performance also in exports and domestic sales, pointing to the year’s results better than forecasted in the beginning of the year.
He added that this is a result of ADEFA’s cooperation with the production value chain and the government, allowing for a competitive scale of production and for more exports to new markets.
