Russian steelmaker Severstal has introduced its new wear-resistant and high-strength Powerhard Duo bimetallic rolled products group during an industrial exhibition in Russia.

Having increased strength and resistance to abrasive wear, these products will increase the service life of equipment by at least twice in several applications such as mining conveyors, coke processing units and dump truck bodies, compared to conventional solutions.

“We have created a product that will help customers become more efficient by increasing the service life of equipment and the duration of the periods between repairs. This service allows customers to reduce operating and capital costs and increase profits by using modern materials with improved technological characteristics,” Alexander Orlov, head of product innovations and solutions at Severstal, commented.
