Russia's stainless steel exports down 49.8 percent in Q1

Russian exports of stainless steel products in the first quarter this year decreased by 49.8 percent year on year to 2,713 mt, according to Russia-based SpetsStal Association.

In particular, in terms of stainless steel products, in the given quarter Russia's exports of long steel went up by 103.1 percent to 1,639 mt, its flat steel exports declined by 3.9 percent to 374 mt, exports of ERW pipes decreased by 91.6 percent to 15 mt, exports of seamless pipes moved down by 22.2 percent to 492 mt, wire exports declined by 52.9 percent to 8 mt and billet exports decreased by 94.5 percent to185 mt, all year on year.
