Slovenia-based steelmaker Slovenian Steel Group (SIJ) has announced its financial results for the first half of this year.

In the first half, the company’s net profit amounted to €14.2 million, while its sales revenues decreased by 17.6 percent year on year to €601.5 million. Meanwhile, SIJ reported an EBITDA of €53.7 million, while its EBITDA margin came to 8.9 percent. The company stated that, even though its financial results are down compared to the same period of last year, they are almost the same as in the first half of 2021 when the economy did not take a dive.

According to its statement, the company is committed to reducing its Scope 1 emissions by 51.0 percent by 2030 compared to 2020.
