Swedish specialty steel producer SSAB continues to supply fossil-free steel to various industries, with the company announcing that it has signed an agreement with Sweden-based energy equipment and solutions provider Wibe Group regarding deliveries of fossil-free steel.

According to the agreement, Wibe Group will start to receive small batches of steel produced without carbon emissions in 2026, with volumes scaling-up annually as SSAB’s fossil-free production capacity increases. By using the fossil-free steel material at its cable management systems, Wibe Group will be able to reduce the carbon emission footprint by up to 90 percent for its products.
