Sweden-based Stegra, formerly known as H2 Green Steel, has announced that it has signed a long-term agreement with German energy company Uniper for the supply of electricity to its plant in Boden, that is currently under construction.
With the agreement, Stegra secures a yearly supply of electricity produced over the six-year period between 2027 and 2032, covering a total of six TWh. Stegra’s plant, which will have an annual green steel production capacity of 2.5 million mt, is scheduled to start operations in 2026.
