In Sweden, industrial production increased by 1.4 percent in November 2015 compared to previous month and increased by 6.2 percent year on year in working day-adjusted figures, according to Statistics Sweden (SCB).
On the other hand, the production index for the Swedish basic metal industry declined by 3.1 percent in November last year compared to the previous month, while rising by 12.4 percent year on year. In November, the country's manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, increased by 2.4 percent month on month and was down by 1.9 percent compared to November 2014. Meanwhile, in the first eleven months of last year, basic metal production in the country increased by 9.6 percent and manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, declined by 4.1 percent, both on year-on-year basis.
On month-on-month basis, new orders for Swedish industry increased by 9.3 percent in November, while new orders in the given month increased by 15.1 percent in working day-adjusted figures compared to November 2014.
In November last year, new orders for basic metals in Sweden rose by 1.5 percent compared to the same month of 2014, including a 5.8 percent increase in domestic orders and a 2.3 percent decrease in export orders, while new orders for basic metals were down by 5.4 percent compared to October. Meanwhile, new orders for the Swedish fabricated metal products industry, except machinery and equipment, increased by 1.4 percent in November on year-on-year basis.
