In Sweden, industrial production increased by 1.2 percent in November last year compared to the previous month and rose by 0.1 percent year on year in working day-adjusted figures, according to Statistics Sweden (SCB).
On the other hand, the production index for the Swedish basic metal industry increased by 3.4 percent in November last year compared to the previous month, while rising by 12.3 percent year on year. In the given month, the country's manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, decreased by 3.9 percent month on month and was down by 7.4 percent year on year.
In November, new orders received by Swedish industry remained stable month on month, while they decreased by 3.1 percent in working day-adjusted figures compared to November 2015.
In November, new orders for basic metals in Sweden increased by 10.6 percent compared to the same month of 2015, including a 25.9 percent increase in domestic orders and an 8.7 percent rise in export orders, while new orders for basic metals were down by 1.1 percent compared to October. Meanwhile, new orders received by the Swedish fabricated metal products industry, except machinery and equipment, increased by 8.5 percent in November on year-on-year basis.
