In July this year, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports decreased by 6.9 percent year on year to $1.24 billion, according to the preliminary statistics issued by Taiwan's Ministry of Finance. In the given month, the country's iron and steel import value totaled $717 million, up 0.7 percent year on year.
In the first seven months of the current year, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports declined 14.7 percent to $8.06 billion, while the value of the country's imports of iron and steel totaled $4.4 billion, decreasing by 23.1 percent, both on year-on year basis.
