Thailand's motor vehicle output down 29% in H1

In June this year, Thailand's total motor vehicle output (excluding motorcycles) amounted to 160,542 units, down 26.06 percent year on year, according to a report released by the Thailand Automotive Institute. On the other hand, Thailand's motor vehicle output in the first half of this year saw a year-on-year decrease of 28.95 percent to 952,685 units.

In June of the current year, Thailand's motor vehicle exports totaled 103,946 units, up 6.57 percent year on year, while in the first half of this year the country's motor vehicle exports increased by 3.6 percent year on year to 560,047 units.

In June, the number of motor vehicles sold in Thailand's domestic market totaled 73,799 units, down 30.39 percent year on year, while in the first half of the current year the country's domestic motor vehicle sales decreased by 40.48 percent year on year to 440,911 units.
