On June 12, Turkey-based company Agır Global announced that it is investing in a Steel Service Center (SSC) in Romania to improve its presence in the European steel industry.

"We aim to expand and continue the company's operations in the European market, primarily targeting the Romanian market, by making the necessary technological and capacity investments," stated a company release.

Details reveal that the agreement has been made with Sidma Romania SRL, located in Bucharest. Official clearance from the Romanian authorities has yet to be received and so the investment has not been finalized.

Currently, the Steel Service Center of Sidma Romania SRL is located in the Bucharest industrial region, having been established in 2005. The company owns the 35,000 m² facility and offers slitting and cutting services for hot and cold rolled flat goods, as well as trading long products.
