Unemployment in Turkey increases to 8.8% in October

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the unemployment rate in Turkey increased by 0.3 percentage points year on year to 8.8 percent in October this year and went up by 0.1 point when compared to the previous month.

Meanwhile, in the given month, the employment rate in Turkey was recorded at 49.9 percent, up by 1.2 percentage points compared to the same month of 2023.
