UNESID: Spanish steel output up 20.3 percent in Jan from Dec

According to the Spanish steelmakers association UNESID, in January this year Spain’s steel production totaled 794,000 mt, up by 20.3 percent month on month and down by 21.0 percent year on year.

In the given month, the Spanish steel industry recycled 666,000 mt of scrap to be used for new steel products, rising by 25.7 percent compared to December last year and declining by seven percent year on year.
