US CRC imports down 0.1 percent in October from September

According to preliminary census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of cold rolled coil totaled 120,075 mt in October this year, down 0.1 percent month on month and up 22.5 percent year on year. By value, CRC imports totaled $122.6 million in October this year, compared to $128.7 million in August and $103.5 million in October last year.

The US imported the most CRC from Canada in October with 43,802 mt, compared to 40,847 mt in September and 39,013 mt in October last year. Other top sources of imported CRC in October include Australia with 13,900 mt, Belgium with 12,047 mt, Sweden with 7,697 mt, and South Korea with 7,006 mt.
