US rebar exports down 5.4 percent in October from September

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of rebar totaled 17,682 mt in October this year, down 5.4 percent month on month and down 26.1 percent year on year. By value, rebar exports totaled $14.2 million in October, compared to $15.4 million in the previous month and $18.4 million in the same month last year.

The US shipped the most rebar to Canada in October with 15,275 mt, compared to 13,061 mt in September and 18,196 mt in October last year. Canada is followed by the Bahamas with 1,350 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US rebar exports in October.
