US Steel Canada, a subsidiary of United States Steel Corporation, announced Friday several management appointments effective February 1, 2014.

Anton Jura, who currently serves as president and general manager of US Steel Canada, will assume a position within the company's North American flat-rolled operations in the United States as it continues its business transformation efforts. Michael A. McQuade, who currently serves as vice president and chief financial officer, will advance to the role of president and general manager of US Steel Canada.

As president and general manager of US Steel Canada, McQuade will have management oversight for all US Steel Canada operations.

Jura joined US Steel Canada in 2009 as general manager, then was advanced to president in 2011. He joined the company in 2000 following US Steel's acquisition of a Slovak steel company previously owned by VSZ.
