Venezuela’s Sidor says pellet plant still operating, despite halt in steel output

Tuesday, 08 March 2016 23:01:35 (GMT+3)   |   Sao Paulo

State-run steelmaker Sidor told SteelOrbis on Tuesday that its pellets plant is still operating, despite a recent halt in steel output.

“The pellet plant is operating as usual,” a spokesperson at Sidor said over the phone, following claims by local media that operations at the company’s pellet plant had been halted as well.

Sidor denied the claims and said the alleged halt in production was, actually, a claim from a group of workers.
