Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has announced that it has initiated a second review regarding the antidumping (AD) order on cold rolled stainless steel imports from China, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Taiwan.
The Vietnam Competition Authority (VCA) stated that on April 15 this year it received a dossier requesting the review of a number of importers of steel and foreign companies exporting to Vietnam. After reviewing the dossier, on May 23 the MOIT decided to conduct a second review, which will cover the period between May 2016 and April 2017. Meanwhile, the antidumping duty was originally imposed in September 2014 and the results of the first review were announced in April last year.
The existing antidumping duties range between 25.35 percent and 17.47 percent for China and between 13.79 percent and 37.29 percent for Taiwan, while the duties stand at 13.03 percent for Indonesia and 9.55 percent for Malaysia.
The products in question are classified under the HS codes 7219.32.00, 7219.33.00, 7219.34.00, 7219.35.00, 7219.90.00, 7220.20.10, 7220.20.90, 7220.90.10 and 7220.90.90.
