Voestalpine acquires Italian special wire producer

Austria-based steelmaker voestalpine has announced that it has completed its acquisition of Italian special wire producer Trafilerie Industriali S.p.A. based in Nervesa della Battaglia (Treviso), expanding its activities in the drawn wire business segment. This acquisition will bring additional strength to the voestalpine product portfolio of drawn wire for the automotive industry.
 
Trafilerie Industriali produces around 50,000 mt of drawn wire annually. In future the acquired company will trade under the name voestalpine Trafilerie Industriali S.p.A.
