WISCO inks deal with EnGro Corp on slag powder project

Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) has announced that it has signed an agreement with Singapore-based slag cement producer EnGro Corporation on joint investment in a slag powder project with a planned annual output capacity of 1.8 million mt.

WISCO will provide slag generated during the steel production process. This is the second such cooperation agreement between the two companies. A 1.20 million mt capacity slag powder project invested in by the two companies was commissioned in January of the current year.
