Hubei Province-based Chinese steel producer Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) has announced that in the first half of the current year its Shanghai-based subsidiary East China Sales Company of WISCO sold a total of 1.7576 million mt of finished steel, up 43 percent year on year, and exceeding the sales target for the period by 10 percent. Meanwhile, the subsidiary's sales revenue for the first half of the year was up 26 percent year on year.
In the given period, the Shanghai-based subsidiary's sales of cold rolled products and silicon steel were up 15 percent and 33 percent year on year, respectively.
