Notable pipe, wire rod, HDG, plate, slab and billet shipments into the US, Sept. 13-19

Pipe:

  • 13 shipments totaling 8,138 metric tons of OCTG casing arrived into the Port of Houston, Texas on September 15 from the Port of Madras, India.
Wire rod:
  • 1,545 metric tons of wire rod arrived into the Port of Houston, Texas on September 15 from the Port of Richard's Bay, South Africa.
  • Two shipments totaling 3,190 metric tons of wire rod arrived into the Port of Mobile, Alabama on September 16 from ports south of Recife, Brazil.
  • 13 shipments totaling 1,290 metric tons of wire rod arrived into the Port of Cleveland, Ohio on September 17 from the Port of Bremen, Germany.
HDG:
  • Six shipments totaling 4,361 metric tons of HDG coil arrived into the Port of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 15 from South African ports.
Plate:
  • 2,961 metric tons of hot rolled steel plate arrived into the Port of Mobile, Alabama on September 16 from the Port of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
  • Five shipments totaling 1,720 metric tons of steel plate arrived into the Port of New Orleans, Louisiana on September 17 from the Port of Ching Tao, China.
  • Nine shipments totaling 1,168 metric tons of hot rolled steel plate arrived into the Port of Houston, Texas on September 18 from Taiwanese ports.
Slab:
  • 9,671 metric tons of steel slab arrived into the Port of Houston, Texas on September 18 from the Port of Lazaro Cardenas, Mexico.
Billet:
  • 2,996 metric tons of hot rolled steel billet arrived into the Port of Charleston, South Carolina on September 13 from the Port of Praia Mole, Brazil.
