Baosteel hikes local HRC price by $54/mt for Feb, HDG price up $108/mt

Major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel issued its prices for carbon steel flat products for delivery in February this year.

The producer has decided to raise its local base prices for hot rolled coil (HRC) by RMB 350/mt ($54/mt), while increasing its local base prices for steel plate, section steel, re-painted galvanized iron (PPGI), galvalume and hot rolled pickled product by RMB 300/mt ($46/mt). It has also decided to raise its local prices for cold rolled coil (CRC) by RMB 400/mt ($62/mt), to increase its local prices for hot dip galvanized (HDG) and electro-galvanized products by RMB 700/mt ($108/mt), and to increase its local prices for non-oriented electrical steel by RMB 1,500/mt ($232/mt) for February. 

Prices include 13 percent VAT.
