The Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports with their South American clients in a reference price of $920/mt, against $950/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 5,630/mt ($1,115/mt), against BRL 5,700/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
In February, Brazil exported 50,300 mt and imported 29,400 mt of HRC, against respectively 49,400 mt and 15,200 mt in January.
The exports in February were destined to Portugal (29,600 mt at $791/mt), the US (15,700 mt at $698/mt), and South American countries (4,800 mt at $695/mt), FOB conditions, while Usiminas exported 200 mt of downgraded product to Pakistan at $370/mt.
The exporters were CSN (36,700 mt at $774/mt), Usiminas (10,900 mt at $691/mt), ArcelorMittal (1,700 mt at $718/mt) and Gerdau (1,000 mt at $615/mt).
The imports were from China (29,000 mt at $585/mt), Hong Kong (200 mt at $584/mt) and South Korea (200 mt at $719/mt), also FOB conditions.
