Brazilian HRC export price stable from two weeks ago

Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports with their South American clients in a reference price of $900/mt, stable from two weeks ago, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.

In December, Brazil exported 66,300 mt of HRC, in average at $648/mt, and imported 68,400 mt of the product at $541/mt, both FOB conditions.

For the total of 2023, Brazil exported 442,600 mt of HRC, against 1.18 million mt in 2022.

In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 5,500/mt ($1,091/mt), also stable in BRL from two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
