Increased scrap and billet prices have continued to push up merchant bar prices in the Turkish domestic market. As of today, June 18, merchant bar prices in the Turkish domestic market, depending on size, thickness and region, are at the following levels: small IPN-UPN are priced at TRY 840-850/mt ($536-542/mt), angles are at TRY 820-850/mt ($523-542/mt), while flat bars and square bars are at TRY 830-860/mt ($530-549/mt) - all prices are ex-works, on actual weight basis and excluding VAT.
Also, it should be considered that some mills may give offers below these levels depending on their stocks.
