The reference price for the export of rebar by Brazilian producers is $860/mt, against $870/mt four weeks ago, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries.
In January, Brazil exported 28,000 mt and imported 35,200 mt of rebar, against respectively 33,000 mt and 19,600 mt in December.
The exports of January were all destined to South American countries, in average at $639/mt), shipped by Gerdau (16,000 mt at $585/mt) and ArcelorMittal (12,000 mt at $711/mt), FOB conditions.
The imports were from Egypt (34,100 mt at $582/mt), Turkey (700 mt at $571/mt), and Germany (400 mt at $1,780/mt), also FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, rebar is offered by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 5,650/mt ($1,141/mt), against BRL 5,600/mt four weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s southeast and south regions.
